![]() | Oceania | The Oceania Orienteering Championships are open to athletes who are members of an IOF-recognised orienteering federation with the Oceania Titles awarded to those from the Oceania region. Oceania 2026 will include a middle distance, long distance, and relay. The sprint distance winners will be recognised as the 2027 Oceania Sprint Champions. Competitors enter age-based classes from elite (M/W21E) to junior, youth, and masters. The Oceania Championship titles will be awarded to the top eligible competitors in the Senior Elite and Junior Elite classes. The senior elite female and male winner will securing a place at the 2027 World Orienteering Championships (WOC).

Entries for Oceania 2026 will open on 1 June 2026 via Eventor Australia. Those competitors entering the Elite classes (M/W21E and M/W20E) please see the note below regarding World Ranking Events.
Entries will close on 5 September 2026. This is the latest date we can possibly close entries. There will be limited enter-on-the-day (EOD) courses offered on most days.
Changes to entries are available up to the closing date.
The Oceania Middle Distance, Oceania Long Distance and Oceania Sprint Championship events have been designated by the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) as World Ranking Events for M21E and W21E elite classes. At the Sprint this includes all competitors in M20E and W20E since they will be running the same course.
Competitors score IOF Ranking points at these events if they have registered as an Athlete in IOF Eventor, have included their IOF Athlete ID in their entry and their entry names matches that associated with the IOF Athlete ID (check here). Any athletes entered in the elite classes without an IOF Athlete ID should register in IOF Eventor before the Carnival.
